Terms & Conditions

The house rules, minus the legalese headache.

Think of these as table manners for the whole community. Last updated June 2026.

Be a good human

Grubshup connects people over home cooked food in Goa. Show up kind, on time, and hungry. Treat hosts, guests, and homes with respect. Bad behaviour gets you a one way ticket off the platform.

Who can join

You should be 18 or older to host or book a table. By using the app you confirm the details you share are honest and yours to share.

Booking a seat

Booking holds your seat. Some tables confirm instantly, others wait for the host to say yes. If a table is full you can join the waitlist and we will nudge you if a chair opens up.

Paying your host

All payments happen offline, in person, directly between you and your host. Cash or UPI, their call. Grubshup does not handle money, take a cut, or hold funds. Agree the amount before you sit down so nobody is surprised over dessert.

Cancelling

Plans change, we get it. Cancel as early as you can so your host can plan the shopping and offer your seat to someone else. Cancelling at the last minute, or simply not turning up, is poor form and may affect your standing.

Hosting responsibly

Hosts are responsible for the food they serve, their space, and the safety of their guests. Be honest about your menu and any allergens. Your exact address is only shared with confirmed guests.

Content you post

Reviews, messages, and photos you add stay yours, but you give us permission to show them in the app. Keep it truthful and friendly. No spam, no abuse, no dodgy stuff.

Our promise and our limits

We work hard to keep Grubshup pleasant and safe, but we are a community of real people, not a restaurant. We cannot guarantee every meal or every guest, so use good judgement, just as you would meeting anyone new.

Changes

We may update these terms as the community grows. If we make a big change we will let you know inside the app.
