Privacy Policy

Your data, treated like a dinner guest.

Welcomed warmly, looked after carefully, and never passed around behind your back. Last updated June 2026.

The short version

We collect the little we need to seat you at a great table, we keep it safe, and we do not sell it. That really is the whole vibe.

What we collect

A name you choose to show, anything you pop into your profile (bio, dietary notes, favourite neighbourhoods), the gatherings you book or host, and the messages and reviews you write. If you sign in with a provider later, we receive your basic account details from them.

Why we collect it

To show you tables you will love, to help hosts cook food you can actually eat, to send booking confirmations and gentle reminders, and to keep the community friendly and safe.

What we never do

We do not sell your information. We do not spam you with nonsense. We do not share your exact address with anyone until a booking is confirmed, and even then only with that host or guest.

Payments

Grubshup does not process any payments online. You settle up with your host directly at the table, so we never see or store card details. None. Zero.

Your choices

You can edit or clear your profile at any time, cancel bookings, and ask us to delete your account and data entirely. Just reach out and we will sort it.

Cookies and storage

We keep a little information on your device so the app remembers you and works offline. Nothing creepy, just the digital equivalent of a name tag.
